Mastercard supports service location details for merchants where the primary business location does not coincide with the location where the transaction occurred.  This can be physical address information or geographic coordinates.  While optional, providing these details provides more accurate information for the cardholder.

Service Location

Portico supports Service Location details in the following transactions:

• CreditAuth
• CreditSale

The details should be sent in the optional ServiceLocation data block, which consists of the following fields:

• ServiceCity
• ServiceCountrySubdivision
• ServiceCountryCode
• ServiceZipPostalCode

Service Location data is supported with the Exchange, GSAP-NA, and GNAP-UK authorization platforms as well as Planet Payment.

Geographic Coordinates

Portico supports Geographic Coordinates details in the transaction header.  The details should be sent in the optional GPSCoordinates data block, which consists of the following fields:

• Latitude
  • Should represent the Latitude of the location where the transaction occurs
  • Valid values range from -90.00000000 to 90.00000000
• Longitude
  • Should represent the Longitude of the location where the transaction occurs
  • Valid values range from -180.00000000 to 180.00000000
• Example:  If the transaction occurs in Louisville, Kentucky, the values would be sent as: 
  • Latitude:  38.2469 
  • Longitude:  85.7664

Geographic coordinates may be sent to Portico for any merchant. 

On Mastercard transaction request for CreditAuth and CreditSale, if present, the details are sent to the GSAP-NA authorization platform.
